This series was everything I was hoping for and I'm really sad it ended, but I'm very grateful for stumbling on it. Even the ending was just perfect enough to make me a little teary..nothing too stupidly sweet to make me gag.
It's definitely a series what I'm going to reread and hope that one day they will publish it in Estonian language!

I loved this series. I'm pretty sad that it's over. One of a handful of books written for young adults that doesn't sugarcoat grief and harsh realities while still being vastly entertaining.

What a great ending to such a surprising series.
I started this series because Overdrive recommended it to me when my other book was on hold, and I figured, why not! I didn't even read what it was about, I figured the app knew what it was talking about. And it did!
I listened to the first book and enjoyed it. I wasn't in a rush to read the other books but wanted to get to them. It just so happened I reached a time when I had nothing to listen to, so I decided to go onto book 2, and I was completely hooked. The first book was charming and so interesting, but book 2 onwards were so enticing.
I spoke of my love for the magic system in this book and each book expanded on it making it more and more interesting. I found myself so enthralled with it. I wanted to know more and why it worked the way it did. Everything was explained so well and in time to watch the characters grow and learn.
I loved the fact Kara and Taff had such a good relationship. I think if they didn't, this series would've been too difficult to read. With everything else going on, a bad relationship would've been too much.
Then that ending! I left feeling SO satisfied. I loved the ending and really felt like it tied everything together so well. It had the right amount of happiness and realism, perfect but not too perfect where it felt fake of forced.

I love this world and these characters so much. This was such a great series and this final book in particular was everything I wanted out of the ending to this series. I’m sorry to leave this world and these characters behind but I have a feeling this will be a series I come back to again in the future.

I really enjoyed this book. It was the perfect book to push me out of my reading slump. I stared this series 2 years ago, and finally reading the last book has made waiting for it’s publication worth it.
This book made me laugh, cry, smile, hate, and love all at the same time, and only a truly amazing book can do that. I would have given this book 5 stars, but the writing style was meant for elementary/middle grade. This made some parts of the book less enjoyable for me. However, I still think this series is worth reading.

I didn't love this series, but I did really like it and for the most part I liked how it J.A White wrapped it all up. It is hard to give an honest review without spoilers. White does a bit to make some of his characters more complicated, but not much, which is probably more telling of his target audience than anything, but suffice it to say I would have liked a little more development in that regard.

I can't believe this series has come to an end. I must part with my beloved characters. This story is so well written. Even though the foreshadowing is great, it's still hard to guess what's actually going to happen. The characters are brave and kind and likable to the very end. And the conclusion was a good one. It really brung closure to the story & the lives of the characters. I, honestly, would reread this entire series. To me, it's like watching one of your favorite movies over again. It just keeps getting better and more nostalgic.
