I tried to read this several times, but it's just not good enough!

Yeah, that was okay. Clear attempt at evoking old school gumshoe/detective/hard drinking, hard on his luck stories, this one is set in Mexico on the set of Night of the Iguana. It was a fun little mystery.

Entertaining enough read. Short with a few things going on at once. This is more or less brain candy reading. And, an excuse to write about alcohol. Though I did learn a few things about certain drinks that were interesting, I don't think I'll be rushing out, or to Amazon.com to buy another novel by F.G. Haghenbeck.
