I cannot put into words how much I loved this book! The Fallen Men series by Giana Darling is one of my absolute favorites, so when Giana recommend Fearless, I picked it up no questions asked! I am so thankful I did too! This book hits all my favorite tropes: motorcycle club romance, suspense, angst, forbidden relationship, age gap, protective alpha MMC, strong FMC, & a hint of taboo. This book is about 740 pages (kindle) & around 10 hours long. I typically am not a huge fan of books over about 6 hours long, because I find that they usually have parts that are unnecessary. This is NOT the case with Fearless. Lauren used every page to keep you engrossed in this book. Not one time in this book did I think there was something that could have been left out that is how good this book is! Fearless kept me on the edge of my seat & left me with one of the best book hangovers afterwards! Lauren did a fantastic job of keeping you guessing of what was coming next & also made you obsessed with continuing the book to solve the puzzle that is Ava & Mercy. I am not including a synopsis with this review because I don’t want to spoil any parts of this book, but if you like any of the following books, you will love this book.
•The Fallen Series by Giana Darling
•Torn by Carian Cole
•Unconditional by QB Tyler

DID NOT FINISH

I found myself bored with this book. I’m not quite sure why. Didn’t get past half of it. I think it was hard to relate to the characters even though I’ve read books about MC’s before. There were things about the characters that I really liked but at the same time it just seemed a little cliché, not terribly dynamic.

Ava Teague has graduated college and now is returning home to start grad school. Believing that her boyfriend will be a big enough distraction not to think about Felix "Mercy" Lecuyer, the man who destroyed her heart. Ava knows it is not going to be easy and when she sees Mercy again she tries to push him away but Mercy seems to be constantly in her sight.

Mercy left Ava believing he was doing right by Ava. Now he is back in Knoxville and Ava's father is now President of the Lean Dogs MC and wants him back in his club. He knows others look at him knowing about his and Ava's past but he doesn't care. With the club in danger Mercy is needed for the special skills he has and knows that their will be no one for him but Ava. Can he protect Ava even if it means from himself?

So I had been waiting to read this one but did not realize it had a big trigger for me, cheating. I have a bit of mixed feelings on this one and was surprised by how the story unfolded. I liked Mercy and Ava but Mercy is hard to like initially because he is cold and has a bit of a standoff vibe to him. This really reminded me of Sons of Anarchy with some of the characters. I liked this but had the one thing that I didn't like.

DNF at about 64%.

I think it is much longer than it needs to be to get the story told. There are pov's from not only the h and H, but from the h's parents as well. The pacing of the story was just too slow for me and I didn't care enough about the characters to continue.

Such a great story! I'm real late to this party but I'm sure glad I came. I am definitely adding this to my favorites. Byronic hero Merci Lecuyer is my new book boyfriend. This was such a sweet love story. I don't care about the underage triggers. I really loved all the family dynamics. I am definitely gonna read all the books in this series. My favorite was at the book climax I jumped up and roared! This was at 3 am. My family officially think I am crazy but I don't care. Loved this story.

It‰ЫЄs been a while since I‰ЫЄve read a good MC book that I devoured.
I think the main thing that put me off so long was the length of this bad boy..because lots of times those books drag on and on..but not this one!

Ava

Ava is the daughter of MC pres Ghost. She comes back home after being away at school for 5 years and comes face to face with the man she‰ЫЄs been in love with since she was 8.

Mercy

Mercy has been in love with Ava since she was 16. It was his job to protect her when she was a child. When Ava comes home all their feelings come rushing back.
