The audio narrator had more of an Irish accent than British but that didn’t stop me from loving the book!

4.5 Stars - REREAD!

In my old age and in my personal experience with MF, I can truly say just how much I appreciate the early works of CLo, and I’m sad that they’ve deviated from this wonderful formula. The initial three books in this series are extremely sexy, detailed, varied, and eye opening - not to mention seriously sophisticated without resorting to crudeness, crassness, or over the top eye rolling ridiculousness that many MF’s these days can devolve into as they sacrifice plot without being as titillating as this is.

Of course, no one can really usurp Bennett, the original [b:Beautiful Bastard|16102004|Beautiful Bastard (Beautiful Bastard, #1)|Christina Lauren|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1362258921l/16102004._SY75_.jpg|21912533], but Max makes a solid effort. Sara is a strong character despite the 3rd act torturous breakup that all CLo books seem to subject us to. However, I forgive that small snafu as this is pure class, and I highly recommend readers to revisit this series or try it for the first time!!

Saludos, Danna.

What is there not to love about Beautiful Stranger? NOTHING! Sit back and let me tell you a little about this wonderful book.

Sara Dillon was hurt and cheated on by her former boyfriend. Moving to New York City to start a new life and taking a position with Ryan Media Group, working with Bennett Ryan and Chloe Mills, Sara decides that she is going to close herself off, love is no longer an option. That all changes the night she meet a Beautiful Stranger in a bar, and decides on a quick hookup. Unfortunately, her hookup is none other than Max Stella, the Posts page 6 playboy.

Max Stella is stunned when his Petal takes off running after a quick shag in the hall, no name, no number, just a pair of panties to remember her by. It doesn't take him long to find her again, and learning her name is just the start for these two. When Sara approached Max and asks him for a no stings, Friday's only, only in public, NEVER at either apartment, pictures allowed by no faces, kind of relationship, Max jumps at the chance. As these two start drifting further and further from their agreement, and closer and closer towards a relationship, can Max convince Sara that he is not her ex.

Ok, I have to say that I LOVE Max Stella! I want a man just like him. He is smart, cheeky, rich, athletic, loving, supportive, caring, and sexy as the day is long. I can really relate to Sara. I understand all about giving someone the benefit of the doubt, wanting with everything inside yourself to believe in someone and then have them prove you wrong. What makes Max and Sara work, is that Max pushes Sara to reach outside her comfort zone, while never forcing her to do anything that she doesn't want to do. I love how Max notices the little things about Sara, that she realizes that her boyfriend of many years never did. I love how Max strives to always put Sara's feelings first, no matter what.

If you are looking for a smokin hot read, want to revisit old friends like Bennett and Chloe, then pick up Beautiful Stranger and sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

I'm glad this series is holding up so well. It's been a long time since I've read them, and I was worried Beautiful Stranger would no longer be a favorite Romance of mine. Alas, my fears weren't warranted. This book remains on my list of top Romance reads. It's sexy, a little taboo, and for once the girl is the one that messes it all up. You know what I mean? The common and annoying trope in Romance books where everything is at its peak level of perfection for the couple and then the guy goes and screws it all up and has to prove himself before the happily ever after happens in the last few chapters? Yeah, not so in this book, and man is it refreshing. Is that a spoiler? Maybe a little, but not really.

Beautiful Stranger follows Sara Dillon and Max Stella. Sara has accepted a new job in New York working at a new branch Chloe and Bennett (from book one) are heading in the media company they all work for. Escaping a troublesome past and a horrible cheating ex, Sara takes the job hoping for a new start in life at being single and free. But it only takes one night at a club for her plans to go askew, when one tall and gorgeous British man draws her in and turns her on her head. After a dirty, public romp in the club, Sara leaves without giving her name and thinks she'll never see the man again...

Max has a reputation on Wall Street and in the gossip columns. But when he meets a mysterious woman in a club that won't give him her name but lets him take the dirtiest photos of her, he becomes obsessed. When fate brings them together again and the two are lost to one another's charms and kinky fantasies.

This book is about communication and desire and accepting every part of someone, and I absolutely love it. It's also the only Romance book I've ever read where I didn't find the voyeurism to be cringy or unrealistic. Sara and Max listen to what the other needs and it's so wholesome and perfect and spicy. Love love love!
