Love TJR! I love the short chapters, and the book was a great, easy read. What does marriage/love/family/life look like to you? This book gets you thinking about this definition. Would I read again? Maybe. Do I recommend? Yes.
I couldn’t put this book down. I have had so much anxiety reading this that I couldn’t sleep at night. This perfectly sums up what happens to long term relationships when things get rough and you go into autopilot. Sometimes you need a huge explosion to wake you up again.
Not sure why this book crossed my path or why I added it to my “to read” pile, or while I actually decided to read it, but I’m glad I took a break and ventured off to the romance/love/relationship genre.
While at times the story was a little bit predictable and saccharine, the story was fun, emotional, and provided good life lessons.
This is a story about a complicated and imperfect married heterosexual relationship told from the wife’s perspective. The wife is an imperfect human with average flaws but the husband is a total jerk that deserves being left. I won’t spoil the rest. I’ll say that it made me appreciate my own marriage, wife, and how I treat her and our marriage.
Glad I read the book. I enjoyed for what it was worth for my first romance/love novel. At the very least it was fun to give updates to my colleagues at lunch every day for a week.

Such a genuine portrayal of relationships & love. The characters all felt incredibly real & I loved the family dynamic. Not usually a fan of romance, but I adored this & was hooked from the beginning. TJR never lets me down.
