Beautifully written, can connect to this story whether in a long term relationship or not

I’m starting to think this isn’t the author for me, but this book dragged and has the most selfish, self-centered, and annoying characters ever. I skimmed the majority of it because of the excessive amount of unnecessary chatter. Glad to be done.

Taylor Jenkins Reid does it again! This book will have you thinking. It reminds us that marriage is hard. It reminds us that if you don’t work at it it’s easy to become complacent or even petty with your partner and if you allow this to happen it’s hard to get the love back, BUT it is possible! I loved the characters in this book. Lauren is human and flawed but also ‘almost always does the right thing’. Ryan is a good man who forgot to be what his wife needs too. Lauren’s family is also quirky, weird and wonderful. I love how they love her (and Ryan).

Trying to block out the scariness of the real world, but went too hard on the beach reads. Nothing really special, but nothing awful

I really enjoyed this book. At the beginning I found the Lauren to be loathsome and annoying but the growth she had throughout the books was enjoyable to see. I think this book captures the ebbs and flows of a marriage quite nicely. I have yet to be disappointed by a TJR book yet.
