A reflective memoir about grief, art, and finding the sublime everywhere you look. It's also a peek behind the scenes at the Met, a story of workplace camaraderie, and a tribute to both the objects and the people of the museum. I adore the Met, so I was predisposed to enjoy this, but I found it to be so lovely and moving. If it hadn't been for my daily obligations, I would have been on the next subway uptown.
