I enjoyed the first half of this but the end did nothing for me, so 3 stars on average.
Alice in Wonderland meets A Midsummer's Night Dream, literally. This story feels more at home with older adventure fantasy than modern YA, at least at first. Unfortunately, the fun tramping through the Nevernever gives way to our MC mooning over Ash at every possible moment. Speaking of which, this might be one of the worst cases of insta-love I have ever read. The saving grace of this story is Grimalkin, my spirit animal. Puck goes from good to annoying, Ash doesn't really have a personality as far as I can tell, and Megan is a little hysterical most of the time, but she is only 16 so that is understandable but still vexatious in an MC.
I think if I had read this when I was younger, I would have loved it. As is, I thought it was fine, not great.

Finally picked this up after staring at it longingly from the library shelves for 8 years. Beginning was slow, but it actually picked up quicker than I expected. I actually enjoyed the characters for the most part, save for 1 or 2 characters that can't be named because spoilers. The villain her is... interesting for the most part. Not the best villain, so it doesn't hit you the way the author expects you to feel. Grim and Ash are by far my favorite characters, and I hope to see a lot more of them in the next books!

I loved the action and adventure plot in this novel. It flowed so well, and the timing was great on that plot! I thought the pacing of the romance subplot was a bit off, but I still loved the romantic relationship in the story. The couple worked so well together, and I’m such a sucker for enemies to lovers.
This series is starting to become one of my favorites, between the love triangle, the Nevernever, and the emotions, you never want to put the book down. The Iron Fey series is at the top of my to-read list for now.
2.5 ⭐.
El líbro es básicamente la protagonista siendo salvada una y otra vez, viajando a través de dos mundos y enamorándose al instante de un personaje que ni siquiera estuvo presente la mayoría del libro.

Read that one a long long time ago and would need to read it again before I can review.
