This book was very good and I love these characters. Maggie and Beau sharing their vulnerabilities and learning new things and experiences with one another was great to see. Seeing Beau’s charters development was beautiful especially on how we met him in Praise. Maggie stepping into this empowerment , confident domme even outside the bedroom was inspiring and encouraging.

I NEED more submissive men in my books !!!!!!

This was very different from what I usually read, and I absolutely loved it!

I haven't read the story about Emerson and Charlie, so I don't know the ins and outs. But I was so annoyed that Emerson just expected Beau to be okay with everything and not be a little tense/awkward. idk? Everyone made it seem like Beau was the villain when instead it makes sense why he has outbursts and isn't gonna fully commit to ideas 'outside the box'.

I love the relationship he has with Maggie it's so cute!

Tropes/Themes:
-MF contemporary romance
-Reverse age gap (22H 34h)
-Best friend’s son
-Dom(h) / Sub(H)
-Lots of depictions of and conversations about kink
-Dual POV
-Can technically be read as a standalone but would be best enjoyed in publication order

TWs for toxic masculinity, bigotry

Another solid character-driven installment to this series! I was initially surprised when it was announced that Maggie’s romance would be Emerson’s son Beau, but I was pleasantly surprised with how their relationship played out. There were a lot of conversations about toxic masculinity and self-expression, which I thought were handled well. After not loving Beau in book 1, I’m glad he was able to get a redemption arc. I can almost appreciate a good reverse age gap and the D/s role reversal.

But was this a perfect book? Heck no. There were actually a lot of things I didn’t like about it. I felt Beau and Maggie kept their relationship a secret for way too long (and felt like there was virtually angst/conflict once their secret got out). I think Maggie should have been aged up a couple years though because there were a few times where she talked about herself like she was a senior citizen. Emerson continues to be my least favorite character (hypocritical jerk) and I wish we got more cameos from the rest of the gang.

Despite all of that, this was super bingeable and I had fun being back in the Salacious Club world.
