I think this one is my favorite so far, but it's still 3 stars. The Danny character rubbed me the wrong way, so I was annoyed when they invited him to come with them on the private plane to England at the end, although thankfully he mostly faded to the background after that. Kind of a ridiculous ending, but that's pretty on brand for the character. I like that we learned more about Luke and his background in this book, I loved seeing Suze's story progress, and I thought all the new characters introduced at Becky's job were a lot of fun.
Also, this book “handled” 9/11 by omitting the year on all the dated correspondence (unlike the previous 2 books and at the least the book that comes after this), but I think it’s supposed to take place mostly in 2002, with the earliest correspondence being from November 2001.

Mostly during reading this one I was annoyed at all the things that were happening. I feel like 90% of the problems could have been solved simply by communication. However, I do still love this series very much and Becky as a character.
I'm glad the plot was different than the first two in the series. I'm still not sure how I feel about Becky as a character in general- she doesn't seem very realistic at times. I'll probably read the next book in the series and see how it goes. It's a good easy read where I don't have to think a lot.
Rebecca Bloomwood has me laughing again... She is funny, creative, impulsive, weird, over the top, irrational, and caring all at the same time. I love these books because they do something to me besides make me laugh. On some level they really make you think about those people, whether the are friend, co-workers, or strangers we happen to see on the bus daily, that we surround our selves with. Only a true friend would put off having their baby until you cancel a wedding. Only a true friend would care enough about you to hell at you to show they are truly upset. Some people may just read Kinsella's book for the laughs or for an easy read but those people are missing the point. I cannot wait to move onto the next book which is sitting on my shelf.
I always have to read the Shopoholic books even though I don't think they are all that great. I read this one through our many layovers on our way to Maui.
