This book is exactly what you expect from a Shopaholic installment. In this one, while at Suze's wedding, Luke proposes to Becky! And, in true Becky fashion, their wedding becomes the event of the year. I love these quick, easy reads that are funny and relaxing and a chance to shake your head at Becky's antics and enjoy the absurdity of it all.

Sono molto dispiaciuta di dover dire che questa serie sta scendendo in picchiata vertiginosa.
Il primo libro era realistico, divertente, intelligente, ben congegnato. Piccoli dettagli sparsi qua e là che alla fine si ricompongono, l’imbranataggine e i difetti della protagonista che la mettono nei guai bilanciati dal suo buon cuore e dalla sua intraprendenza.
Ma in questo. In questo no. In questo le situazioni diventano sempre più surreali, arrivando all’apice nell’assurdità della risoluzione finale, dove secondo me Becky dimostra un egoismo e una vanità che pur con tutti i suoi difetti non le si addicono affatto. E le soluzioni si sbrogliano con un deus-ex-machina che non ha niente a che vedere con la trama.
Non mi è piaciuto che Becky non solo ha mentito a tutti su una roba grossa come un matrimonio (di cui trascuro volontariamente gli aspetti più profondi, visto che il suo valore in tutto il libro trapela a malapena, essendo per lo più una questione di vestito-torta-location in mano alle future madre e suocera…), ma che nonostante la mega bugia mai ammessa con nessuno ottiene comunque tutto, ma proprio tutto quello che desidera senza dover pagare neanche un piccolo pegno per aver mentito e detto bugie e tenuto il piede in due scarpe.
Mi ha infastidita tantissimo questa cosa e se penso che nel primo libro avevo apprezzato il realismo nella storia qui proprio non ci siamo. Per non aggiungere la lunghissima parentesi su Suze a metà libro che non ho capito che c’entrasse.
E il fatto che il libro dopo questo si chiama “I love shopping con mia sorella” quando metà di questo si basa sul fatto che Becky è la sola e unica figlia dei suoi genitori dice tutto sui livelli di incongruenza che sta dimostrando questa serie.
È un peccato, perché davvero, ho adorato il primo libro e mi ero gettata sui seguiti alla ricerca di qualcosa di spassoso e leggero, ma mi sono ritrovata nell’ennesimo assurdo romanzo rosa sdolcinato e inverosimile che proprio non fa per me.

3,5/5 Er gebeurde veel in dit deel en het voelde vaak als veel van hetzelfde. Mijn frustratie over Becky’s gedrag was tegen het einde enorm, maar dat loste zichzelf ook op. Zin in het volgende deel!

I really enjoyed the first two books but I felt that Becky had really digressed on the growth she had made in the last two books. It was really irritating that she could not make a decision and that she let it go on for so long. I found that she was more selfish in this book than she was in the first two. The only redeeming parts of her storyline in this book were when she was spending time with Suze and trying to help Luke.
This is another one in Sophie Kinsella's "Shopaholic" series. This one seen Becky in Manhattan working as a personal shopper and getting engaged to Luke. Of course mayhem ensues when the girl who can't make up her mind about anything starts to dither over the wedding plans.

I really liked this book. Becky is absolutely hilarious. I thought the wedding dragged on a bit and I just wanted her to make a decision. I am really enjoying the series so far.
This book has a good romance, some funny bits, but overall - it's just like the other two books. I know this is what the readers expect and the author just followed what's been a bestseller. But it was still predictable and a letdown for me.
Becky Bloomwood is by far the funniest protagonist ever. Sophie Kinsella’s books never lets me down and the third book of the Shopaholic series is by far the best and I’m sure the next one would be even better if it’s possible.
