the book was ok

the narrators did a decent job (4 stars for them) even if one of them reminded me of a cartoon my kids use to watch (flamin' thongs), which was the funniest because they both had pretty much the same Australian accent (which, in my opinion didn't really match the Victoria setting, but whatever) but whenever it changed over to Antony Ferguson I always thought of that show (and know it was him because of a past book where I spent most of it trying to work out what the name of the show was)

Good story, great characters. The story was good but I was a little disappointed that they only got together when the story was 80% in. I would have liked seeing them being together a little earlier in the story, otherwise I loved the relationship and it felt very natural the way they got together.

Honestly, I probably would have enjoyed this book a lot more without all the misogynistic nonsense around all woman except for those who were paired of with the ‘brothers’. Especially the treatment of Parker’s lady. Just because she enjoyed sleeping with Parker and they were not exclusive she was a whore? It just really took me out of the story. I really hate in stories especially m/m or in this case m/m/m woman are always the villains who are bitches, sluts and cunts. Like the author could have written an enjoyable story without bashing woman and it wouldn’t have taken any value away from the other characters relationships. It like any queer guy has to automatically hate the opposite sex or their relationships and feelings aren’t valid.

I feel like this story could have been split into 2 books. I think we lost a lot of back story. I know this was an off shoot of another series of books but it’s labeled as a standalone but I felt I needed to read the other books to be in the know. I I really wasn’t interested in reading the other books except for maybe Knife and Beasts book. Like how did two detectives get caught up in a biker gang and no one noticed. The story was kinda asinine when I think about it but I still did enjoy certain aspects. *2.5⭐️⭐️

This book was good but left some stuff to be desired.

I was super into the book and loved the evolution. Parker did a lot of growing in this book but we only got snipets of them as a throuple and their great reveal in the epilogue. I would’ve wanted to see more of them altogether.

I wasn’t expecting such a slow burn for the steaminess to kick in but the plot and the story of Lan, Easton and Parker was really good. The spice, if your looking for it doesn’t kick in til at least 65 percent in maybe a little more. But the story itself is interesting and caught my attention that’s for sure. Oh lord it was funny to me as well, especially Easton, his nervousness and shyness is so dang cute and funny. All in all I thought it was a good read!!!!
