A thoroughly enjoyable first encounter with Inspector Maigret. This was the first Maigret novel by Simenon, published in 1932, and it's my first encounter with Simenon's writing. I'll be back for more.

Quite enjoyed this one, it kept me puzzled right to the end. I am enjoying the character of Inspector Maigret, though he is completely different on paper to Rowan Atkinson as he is cast in the recent series.
