I am a woman working in a male dominated field and I wanted to read this to learn tips and tricks for managing conflict, negotiation, and ways to mitigate and professionally call out sexism in the workplace.
I was able to find a good handful of tools and resources from the book, but I didn't find the snarky attitude conducive to healthy communication at times, and some things mentioned were too lewd, crass, or inflammatory for my personal liking. I understand the anger and frustration obviously, but the bite in some of the commentary is too aggressive for my own preferences in conflict management.

Although I appreciate the message of this book, and there is some interesting historical information in it that I think most women would find useful to know, I overall found the format to be incredibly repetitive and in places a little bit awkward.
There is far too much #girlpower in this, to the point where it almost feels like a mockery. Not my cup of tea in terms of execution.

The subtitle of this book was what convinced me to pick this up, and it lives up to the promise of being exactly what is says. Is the book perfect? No - it does get a bit repetitive, but I would argue that it isn't necessarily designed to be read through in one sitting. Is it a bit Buzzfeedy? Yes, but that also makes it fun and will appeal to younger women just entering these sexist workplaces. All in all, Bennett does an amazing job discussing the ways working women get tripped up in professional environments (both by themselves and others) and how to combat those obstacles to be more successful. After sharing this with all my girlfriends, this is going to go back on my desk for future reference, and I suspect I'll be cracking it open for motivation and support pretty often.
Good book but prob better for someone else
This was a good and insightful book about how women are viewed and treated in the work world. I work in a predominantly female corporate office so I don't think I related to the book as well as someone else probably would.

Loved this! It’s incredibly insightful and you can see each aspect in the day to day. Plus, that final sentence.
Loved this book! While crude at times it was honest, real and based in facts and data. Any business book that can make me laugh out loud is well worth recommending.
My favourite parts were the addendums, appendices, whatever they were (harder to know with an audiobook) toward the end. Lists of feminist fight clubs of yore, list of things for men to do to support women at work, etc.
A lot of this is amusing because of the narrator, who was great - not actually funny, but things that women all have to deal with at work (eyeroll). But I found it incredibly repetitive, probably could have been a third of the length. Just more straightforward. Also, it's more of a primer for women who haven't figured out how to deal with any of this than those who have - but for those who already use their voices, the extras are interesting, and something to look into more.
