This book has a lot of good information in it, and most of that is backed up by evidence (there's a long section of references at the back). The evidence is hidden though so it's hard to follow the trail as you go; I can see why (it's not an academic book, and it's obviously going for a younger audience) but I'd have preferred explicit references. (Particularly given the advice in the book to give credit where it's due!)
The style of this book is very informal and... American. I found it grating to begin with, although I relaxed about that once half way through.

This book is a sort of guidebook on how to handle hostile sexist workplaces, and how to improve yourself by being a part of a feminist group, empowering other people at the same time. The author gives the reader tips that are definitely good and might come in handy in the future. Some of the stories are quite revolting but the reality of the workforce for women is very well explained.
My rating isn’t higher because the book is just this. It doesn’t tackle other issues, neither does it shine a new light on the matter. So the reader doesn’t exactly end the book feeling like it was groundbreaking or that it brought all that much new information.

This book changed how I looked at work, interactions, and my own behavior, habits, and thoughts about what is “appropriate” for me to do and say at work. It came at the time I needed it most.
This was brill, hilarious and so insightful. It's full of SO many useful ideas for the workplace and life and will even help with self confidence and friendships. I really enjoyed reading this!
This book would have been quite useful when I was in college.
This is a great combination of call-to-action, education (with endnotes!), recognition of injustice, intersectionality, workbook, and stockpile of feminist puns :) There's something here for everyone from the woman who still thinks pink-collar is about fashion, to the "nice guy", to the columnists at Ms. Magazine. I highly recommend this excellent, accessible book :)

O.W.L. 2020 Muggle Studies - book from the perspective of a muggle (I let it count haha)
Life motto: Fake it till you make it!
I received this book last autumn as a gift from my former boss, and had only read snippets until today, and because I adore Her (my ex boss) this book obviously means a lot to me. I decided to bring it into office and read it on my 70 minute ride there and back (yes over 2 hours in total to just "get that bread") I still very much enjoy the idea of a fight club for me and my sisters in arms. Already envisioning the aesthetics a la Birds of Prey ~
