Quite a good start to a series the is concurrent with the Kris Longknife books. Predictably repetitive were it retells the events of some books from the Vicky Peterwald prosective, because of this I'd recommend not trying to stay current with both series at once. It is nice to see Vicky's history & to see that she is expected to become an officer in the Greenfield Navy, while her brother given everything, including his rank.
