I saw the plot twist coming from the beginning but it was so good I didn’t even care. Absolutely ate up the romance in this. I also don’t think I’ve read a Norse inspired book before so I loved that aspect too. Freya was a little frustrating sometimes but she was also a badass and I loved her character.
3.5 stars rounded up to 4. I liked the Norse mythology and a different take on romantasy. The writing could be better, but I'm just here for a good time.
Main character was annoying to me, the writing did not seem to be very good. The overall story is good but predictable throughout.
I liked this enough to read the next one when it comes out but I’m sick of every romantasy book main character being exactly the same. They are always impulsive and dumb and do not pay attention to obvious things. I feel like it should have been obvious to her what was going on the whole time.

I was going to give this 4 stars, but the ending of this book was kinda predictable so I had to bring the rating down a little. I do love the norse mythology theme in this book, and I still plan on finishing this duology!
