3 stars = I liked it! The premise of the book was good! I love the idea of the podcast, and the way the story was written and the delivery kept me turning pages, I read it super quickly, and it kept me at the edge of my seat the entire time!

There were a couple of issues I had with the story that prevented this from being a 4 star:

1. I dislike when couples don’t communicate, I find it unrealistic that she went 5 years without telling him anything about her family/past. And I felt like it was unnecessary to the story.
2. I also found it really hard to believe who had done it. It felt a little too convenient and that the realizations and all what came out a little hard to just remember. (trying to be vague to avoid spoilers).
3. The call at the beginning that she gets in the middle of the night... who was that? Do we ever actually get confirmation? I felt like that was just pointless.

This all being said - I really did enjoy this book and the way the podcast comes into play. It was a super quick read and would recommend to friends!

Honestly at first it was hard to get focused. Once i actually starting getting into it, it was hard to put down!! Definitely expected but at the same time didn't expect the ending if that even makes sense lol definitely recommend!

Ich habe bei 10 Prozent keinen Bock mehr. Zudem weiß ich, wer es war. Und warum wahrscheinlich auch. So klischeehaft, es ist zum Weinen. Schlecht geschrieben ist es auch.

A good murder mystery enhanced with fake social media posts. Also a good examination of how relationships can sour and maybe be redeemed.

Psychological thriller with a Serial-like podcast theme. Josie has recreated a life for herself after a tumultuous childhood that included her father being murdered, witnessed by her twin sister, and her mother’s abandonment. She hasn’t been honest about her family with Caleb, her boyfriend. Now, Josie’s Mother is dead and Josie must face her past. Meanwhile, the podcast, Reconsidered, is examining the murder of Josie’s father, and wondering if an innocent man was convicted.Lainie, Josie’s twin sister, tries to win Josie over.
I thought I knew who the killer was early on, and I turned out to be correct. However, I did enjoy the story, and it kept me interested.

It seemed to drag on for the last half of the book, the ending was predictable, and the characters were a bore

It holds the essence of a decent story but is held back by overly indulgent characters who despite the verbose background they are given never really develop depth.

This was meh. It’s a thriller without much thrill. They’re solving an old case and not unveiling too many secrets. I wish instead there had been more focus on the fallout of their family as the media and armchair detectives dragged things up
