I cannot stand the sight of blood and guts, and that is part of the reason why I read this fantastic novel three times - so that when I watched the movie after each reading, I would know exactly when to turn away. The book is almost exactly the screenplay of the movie version of "The Godfather". Mario Puzo has crafted the most dramatic and well-written novel. The way that the actors in the movie were so able to portray the characters in the novel so well is a testament to Puzo's style of writing. I love this book and have talked myself into needing to read it again one day soon!
