Connelly does it again. While this was slightly more predictable, there was a very strong emotional presence and motivation attached to Bosch that was very compelling and set it a bit apart from previous books.

I would actually give this book 4 1/2 stars. I enjoyed it very much. Learning the full story of what happened to Harry's mom was great. It gives a lot of insight into Detective Harry Bosch...I like seeing his humanity.
