So many points of view converged in this book, but I love seeing all my babies together.

This series has consumed my life. I was a bit sceptical about starting Falling Kingdoms, having heard so many mixed reviews about it. All I can say is thank god I didn't listen to those bad reviews!

Crystal Storm is heavy on the plot. There's not much action going on although the storyline is constantly going. But there's never a dull moment which is an incredible thing to achieve for Morgan considering this is the fifth book and there are so many characters.

What I really enjoy about this is that you've got the romance between Magnus and Cleo, you've got Lucia who's coming to terms with what she did, and you've got Amara who does bad things with good intent. (I could list more but I thought it best to limit myself to the top three). They're all so deliciously different but so similar at times, however you never get the feeling that it's redundant or that you're reading the story viewed from the same character with different names (as is wont to be in most multi-point of view novels).

Now, how am I going to survive the wait until the next book?

My least favourite of the series so far. I felt like every decision any of the main characters did was so childish and frustrating. Why add the unneccesary conflict between Magnus and Cleo. It felt like character development went backwards. At this point deaths don't even faze me as there have been so many deaths, then "oh, they are not dead" and then now this character is dead... or are they? Anyways, I'll probably finish this series since at this point there is only one left and I have made it through five already.

I have really come to love this series. With its great world building, characters, and dialogues it has become one of my favorites. I have compared the first book to Game of Thrones but that doesn't apply to this one. It really stands on its own and it is a really easy read. I like Morgan Rhodes' writing style and character development. It keeps you wanting more. And that ending... wow! Cannot wait to read the next installment.

The most intense book in the series yet! There was a lot of action, character development, lore, and of course, gigantic twists and turns that leave your head spinning. I was hugely engaged throughout and enjoyed the interactions between new and old characters. The romances still drove me a little crazy, but I enjoyed them immensely. I was surprised to find myself engaged with the stories and arcs of Gaius and Amara. It was great to see an abundance of magic near the end of the book, though I'm very worried about the fate of certain characters, especially since the story ended on a major cliffhanger. I felt like there was a little repeating of the major drama between certain characters (looking at you, Cleo and Magnus), but I'm hoping it will all be resolved in the next book. I honestly am eagerly awaiting the next book since I'm totally hooked on this series!
