An emotional rollercoaster. The only reason it’s not a 5 is bc I feel like Katniss loses her voice at the end, which is definitely intentional on the author’s part but just not how I would have liked it to have ended

Not nearly as riveting as the first two in the series-I felt like the plot got so much more convoluted. That being said, towards the end the philosophical element came out and it ended on a nice note. Yay closure! Looking forward to reading the other two (songbirds + snakes, sunrise on the reaping). Not sure how I feel about this one. Plot didn't seem as tightly woven as the first two and the ending was a bit yawnable. I'm sure there is a ton of underlying theme that one could spend thinking about and as such this would be great reading for high school seniors to discuss. In all, I was entertained and will probably read her other books.
