Skin chewed me up and spat me out! What an emotional ride. I am obsessed with BB Easton and her writing. It's so clear, so gut-wrenching, and genuine. She could write her to-do list, and I'd eat it up!

Skin is Knight's backstory from the 44 Chapters about 4 Men book that inspired the TV show Sex/Life on Netflix. Though this book takes place in high school, it is a fictionalized rendition of BB and Knight's love story that features dark themes such as sex, blood play, suicide, and drug use. You will want to read the trigger warnings before you start these novels. They are dark, but they are also funny and sexy as hell. I also can't get enough of the Atlanta references. It's fun to see my city through young BB's eyes!

I highly suggest this series!!

This book left me kinda not knowing if i wanted to love or hate Knight. In the end, i think ill always love Knight no more what. i cant help it. I loved the banter between the characters. They made me giggle with laughter. But other parts had sad and want to cry for a character. Needless to say im hooked. Hook, Line, and sinker for BB.

Skin by B. B. Easton is unlike any romance I've read before. It's a hard book to describe, and I'm not sure it's possible for me do it justice in a couple of sentences or paragraphs. It's the kind of book that you just have to pick up and experience for yourself.

I didn't read 44 Chapter's, so this was my first time meeting Knight and B. B. It was also my first book by this author, so I had no idea what to expect from it. Woud it keep my attention? Would I like the writing style? Would I be invested in the characters? The answer to all of those questions is a big, fat "YES."

Being a teenager is hard, and this book portrayed that perfectly. I felt all the beautiful highs and heartbreaking lows right along with the characters...every funny, awkward, sweet, strange, terrifying, fucked up little thing.

Knight and B. B. captivated me right away, and I couldn't leave them until I knew what was going to happen to them in the end. It's no spoiler that they don't live happily ever after. We know that before the book even begins, but that didn't make it hurt any less.

In the end, Skin left me feeling conflicted, upset, and sad which is not what I expected. I read this book months ago, but it took me until now to be able to write something about it. I just couldn't get a hold on how I felt enough to write a proper review.

Months later, what I can tell you is that it's a book that stayed with me for a long time after I read it. It's not a novel that you put down and never think about again. It's one you ponder and reflect upon.

I think the main reason this story held my mind hostage the way it did was how real and raw it is. Everything that happens isn't given a complete explanation. We don't know the reason or truth about every little detail. Nothing is wrapped up in a tidy little bow. Just like in real life, we're left with what we were told, what we saw, and what we felt. That's all.

Skin is an unique, emotional, and addictive YA/NA romance set in the 90's. The characters are complex and three dimensional. The romance is steamy, heartwarming, and heartbreaking, but what stood out most to me about this book was the writing. It's phenomenal, and I want more of it! I'm so down to follow B. B. on her journey to reach her happily ever after...even if my heart gets a little bumped and bruised along the way.

I recommend Skin to anyone that likes unconventional romance novels, the 90's, and books based on real people and events.

I Motherfucking Loved it! I'll be thinking about these characters for days.

I became a fan of this author after reading 44 chapters about 4 men. It is where we are introduced to Knight. I can honestly say I didn't really give him much attention then. I thought he was a psycho and I was so happy when BB got away from him. So with that being said, after reading this book. I am so happy that BB shared more knight with us.

I had so much nostalgia while reading this book. Sent me down memory lane of my own HighSchool experience. I normally don't connect with books that have younger characters. I normally can't relate to young adults these days. But with BB I felt I could relate so much, of course I didn't experience near as much as she did. But I know what it's like to fall in love with that first boy, changed myself to be what other people will desire.

I couldn't get enough of Knight, I do believe I love him. As much of a smothering stalker he was with BB, I adored how he cared so much just for her. He was crazy for BB it was so intense and I just ate up the pages to find out what kind of trouble these two would find themselves in.

BB just has a special way of storytelling it's fresh and I can't get enough of it. This book takes on more of a serious and intense tone then 44 chapters. It had me laughing, swooning, and sometimes cringing. I was sad when it was time to say goodbye, though the choice knight makes I think is for the best. And I'm definitely looking forward to the next book.

One of my new favorite books and I cant wait to get my hand on a paperback so I can keep knight with me forever. BB you definitely accomplished making me understand this beautiful boy and I'll never forget this story.

Readers and devoted fans of 44 Chapters about 4 Men will love the genesis story of Knight and BB. Skin is a quasi-memoir from our favorite pink haired, steal-toed boot and fishnet wearing, super sarcastic and slightly troubled fifteen year old. If you have not yet read Easton’s debut novel that has taken the world of independent authors by storm, run don’t walk to snatch that up and start there.

We were introduced to Knight in 44 Chapters. I was immediately hooked and delighted to learn that he would get an entire book all to himself. BB's first love was troubled, guarded, and hated everyone. I’m not quite sure how she did it, but BB managed to pull back all his layers and complexities and make this aggressive, combative vandalizing skinhead lovable.

Just as I did in 44 Chapters, I cried toward the end of this book. BB got me again right around the heartstrings, and knowing that these events are based off of her real life experiences made it even more emotional.

“He’d come to me broken, and he’d left me broken, and I vowed right then and there, that it would never happen again.”

BB Easton’s writing style is open, refreshingly honest, heart wrenching and hilarious. She let us embrace and root for Knight while allowing us an earnest look at her own struggles and demons. Her personal journey of starting over and following a true passion is inspiring. I’m proud of our BB. She left a pretty great gig to become a writer. I’m so glad she did.

This book just broke my heart repeatedly. The last 15% went a little off the rails imo, but this story was still such a gut-punch.

In 2016 I was lucky enough to discover BB Easton and her hilarious novel, 44 Chapters About 4 Men. I couldn't keep the smile from my face as I read and I laughed out loud a lot. Which isn't normal for me. Most novels may just get a smirk out of me or a tiny chuckle.

When I heard that Skin would be taking a more serious tone I was not worried. I trusted BB. I knew she was listening to the characters and the story they wanted to tell. It's easy to just fall right back on what worked for you the first time you found success rather than trying something new. I'm glad BB didn't go the easy route.

Skin was like a time warp. It brought me back to high school and all the boys I knew I loved and would never forget. My high school years were very PG next to our protagonist's but that doesn't mean I couldn't relate to every word. We all fell head over heels for another kid we passed in the halls between classes. I felt every emotion BB did.

I've never been one to dig the bad boys. Lucky for me Knight never felt like the bad boy. He wasn't some poser. He was the real deal. He was a broken boy with a steel exterior and he broke my heart on every page he graced.

BB will always be a one-click for me and I can't wait to see what's next.

Oh god, this book BROKE ME. I loved Knight and BB even though they were ABSOLUTELY terrible for one another. It can be really frustrating to read a book about minors that act like adults and this wasn't my high school experience, but I found some stuff super relatable.
