This one didn't keep me as engaged as the first one but I did enjoy it. It definitely ended with a bang! Hope Carter wraps it up in book 3. I'm invested in the characters enough to read the next title but not sure how much further I'll make it.
This sequel to ALL FALL DOWN picks up right where Carter left off and is fast-paced right up to the end, which is a cliffhanger leading you only wanting to read the next book in this series.
Not my usual sort of book, but I was intrigued by the idea of a gang of spy librarians.
Not so much about them as about one teenage girl and her drama and trauma.
The writing does carry one along. 4.5 actual stars, for unnecessary teen romance drama.

Book 2 was better than book one. There was a lot of focus on Grace's ptsd in the first book and that was already established in this one sobthe plot could move forward more. The reveal at the end was something I predicted in the first book. This is well written though so it wasn't looming and obvious. I didn't love the book but I also will jump immediately into book three so it is safe to say that I liked it.
Was a bit annoyed by Grace's continued mental anguish. Yes I understand why she suffers but it was distracting as well. But the last half was very interesting...

It had been a long time since I read the first book in this series and I think I've aged out of the readership. But it was still an interesting plot. I just found the emphasis on Grace being traumatised a little over the top. Like we get it, she's not okay.
Honestly was kind of annoyed by the first 3/4 of this book but the ending is pretty fun. I hate the “I have to bear this all alone bc I am a strong misunderstood girl” trope and was glad we finally hit the you can’t do this alone realization point.
