Keeping Faith

Jodi Picoult

3.68 AVERAGE

Beautiful story of well.. faith. I must say though, when i was reading the last page and saw "she sees the knife edge of her mother's tired smile," I was skim reading because i was excited but i should have been paying more attention because i almost freaked when i saw the word knife! Very open ending though, bit disappointed that we don't find out whether or not Faith made it up or was actually seeing God - i guess this is a good thing though because it shows that we can't know the answers to these things - that's faith for you! Very enjoyable read.

I'm pretty sure this is my new favorite book ever by jodi picoult!

Yet another engrossing read by Jodi Piccoult.

Star ratings are so arbitrary, but this one, as a page-turning piece of fiction, gets three stars from me. I could not put it down - I've ever actually read anything by Jodi Picoult before and judging by how many books she cranks out I suspect it's probably as formulaic as any of Boujalian's books, but I'm always attracted to stories about religious ecstasy and grabbed it in a thrift store. It follows a fairly standard popular fiction formula - mystery until the last chapter, major climax, and done. I enjoyed the fact that it asked some deep questions about faith and belief and left the door open on that aspect of it all.

A little slower to get into then most JP books I’ve read but I really enjoyed the topic. I wish it would have been a little more in depth regarding Faith & her relationship w/ Guard and the Stigmata. I feel a lot of the book was focused on the Mother & her past mental health issue. Will always love a JP book though!

Not my favourite Jodi Picoult book and I have them all.
It was a little confusing at times

I know I've read this book before I just don't know when I read it. It was before 2009 is all I know. The only reason I know I've read it is because very summary I've read makes me remember more of the details of the story. But since I can't remember much about it I gave it two stars and usually Picoult's books are better.

a bit too many details at the beginning. the court case was the most interesting part and it didn't start until over halfway through the book. overall, I like the concept, though.
