Lets just say that the situation she was in before she ran away was disgusting without a shadow of a doubt and I cannot wait till Rhett finds out the truth....

a heroine so incredibly flawed yet you can't help but root for. i especially appreciated the complexity within Faye's relationship with her mother. where things aren't black or white. a saint or a monster. these characters feel very human.
❝She would let it go
One day
When the moon glowed with unshed tears
And the world was a different place.❞

Almost gagging during the bathroom scene, but I will say that is what it takes to draw in your readers. Something so disgusting, so disturbing will make them stay. Like watching a freak accident, you want to look away but then you don't. ON to the next one!

This series is shaping out to be raw, dark, dirty and gritty. Filthy is a fitting title.
"I could never be normal and pretend like I wasn’t a f*cked up human being. Because I was. I was broken, a destroyed hunk of flesh with a heart that kept beating."
I think this sums up Faye in a nutshell. She's so broken and hasn't got a clue, or a care, to try to put herself together again or try to heal. I kept hoping she'd reach out to Rhett to help her, but no. And that scene with her step-dad Taylor was unreal. I was completely grossed out and that's part of what made this such a fantastic read!
