Aphra by Nancy A. Collins - 021013 - intriguing. A story about how what we first find erotic continues through our lives
Eye of the Lynx by Thomas Ligotti - 041913 - not really a writing style I read, so it wasn't a favorite story. I did like the overall theme, trapping your love in your heart (or I think that is the theme...like I said, the writing style was not for me)
Heavy Set by Ray Bradbury I went back to look at this one, I don't remember when I read it and sadly it didn't make much of an impression. an okay story.
Mr. Wrong by Elizabeth Jane Howard 082013 - they compared it to Christine in the little intro - I disagree. It was more like a twilight zone story - thought a bit darker
The Runaway Lovers by Ray Russell 082013 - creepy. Proving that the imagination can be much worse than the actuality. Letting someone imagine what might happen, and then telling them it will -- even if you don't intend to follow through -- can be much more harmful that ACTUALLY following through
The First Time by David Kuehls - disturbing, incest, and what your past does to mold your future - I didn't like it, but not because it was a bad story..it was more like a disturbing episode of criminal minds
The Ceremony by Arthur Machen - weird story about sex with a stone
The Nature of the Evidence by May Sinclair - true love never dies and apparently neither does passion...creepy ghost story
The Face of Helene Bournouw by Harlan Ellison - an eerily accurate story of the beautiful people...maybe there is a reason beyond just good genes
A Host of Furious Fancies by J.G. Ballard - a bit of a twist...interesting how the mind can play tricks on you as you age
When the Red Storm Comes by Sarah Smith - a vampire tale that I can't hardly recall
Ravissante by Robert Aickman - another one that I am not sure what I read.
A Birthday by Lisa Tuttle - disturbing. Not sure how I feel about this one. and not really believable, which is not necessary in a horror story, but -- I wasn't really able to suspend my disbelief.
The Crooked Man by Charles Beaumont - WOW. To know that this was written and published back in the mid 50's...and I would like to think we have come a long way..and yet...we really haven't. GREAT read.
On the Lake of Last Wishes by Claudia O'Keefe 072114- what a very sad story. About choices we make. And it has a black swan.
Again by Ramsey Campbell 072214 - a creepy ghost/zombie story. The ending was weird, still not sure where he was going with it
Kin to Love by T.H. White 072414 - i may have missed something, but this was mainly just a love is close to pain story.
Same Time, Same Place by Mervyn Peake - what if someone who was confined to a house finally decided to break free, but what if the person they met outside the house was really a monster...wouldn't it be possible that if that person was able to return to the house, they would then never leave?
The Model by Robert Bloch - ick.
Silver Circus by A.E. Coppard - another weird story.
Honeymoon by Clement Wood - psychological horror...what if you waited, and then the man just wasn't interested?
The Parasite by Arthur Conan Doyle - 081514 - an interesting story, ended at least sort of happy, but it had potential to be a much darker story

Overall, I was disappointed with this collection. There were a few stories I really enjoyed, but the majority left me confused or bored.
