I'm not cool enough to have read xkcd from the beginning or even cool enough to read it regularly now (though I do enjoy the strips that have become popular enough to come across my radar), but now I have this thanks to the Humble Bundle Book Bundle 2 (http://www.humblebundle.com/). There are some gems in this collection and it's worth the read.
I don't think I was smart enough for this.
It probably deserves 4 stars for the things I "got". But like most humans, I fear and revile the unknown.
Too much math and computer. Brain explodes. Lose one star.
Maybe not. We'll see how I feel tomorrow.

Xkcd comics come in two flavors: ones that make me wet my pants laughing and ones I don't understand because I am not as smart as Randall Munroe. This book is a collection of both kinds along with a few extra notes, doodles, and ciphered messages. I have not tried solving any of the ciphers yet. I will probably have to google them.
What I'm trying to say is that this is a smart comic and people should read it.

Plenty of geeky and techy humor illustrated by innocent and featureless stick figures. Granted, I probably read a good number of these online already ... but it was refreshing to have them all in one book.
This matches with my general opinion of xkcd. I love some of the strips, like most of them, and about 10% of them leave me cold. I like it, but am not in love with it.
