This was an okay reread. I'm way too old for it now, so that was the main reason that I didn't like it that much. That said, I own it, so it was only an hour or two of my time, and it was rather nostalgic. Very British!

I never read this as a child but I can see the appeal for young readers. Some of the joy is lost reading it later in life but nonetheless a quick entertaining read.

Not as good characters as Twins at St Clares but the story is more fun.

LOL, i know some of you might laugh at me for reading these series when i have two other series pending, but they came into my mind recently, & these also remind of happy childhood memories, so onto reading them.

I love these series <3

First & 2nd already are done :D :P

Re-read this purely for the nostalgia. If only secondary school was as 'jolly good fun' as Malory Towers! Friendship is a main theme that runs through and it's full of warmth, cheeky mischief and adventure. It's worth noting that some words/sentences are dated but I guess that is expected for a book written in 1946. Am now tempted to re-read the whole series...
