Patti Smith

inspiring reflective

I adore Patti Smith and I did enjoy the book... However, I was gutted that the pictures weren't all hers and truthfully if it had been written by anyone else then I expect I wouldn't have been even the slightest bit impressed.

I'd say this one is for the more die-hard fans really, having a little glimpse into her mind and finding out more about artists who inspired her and some memories that she treasures is lovely for those of us who crave everything Patti, I'd give it 5 stars for that! But just as a book, I feel like 3 stars is pretty fair, in my opinion at least.
fast-paced

A little inspirational insight into the world through Patti Smith’s eyes

This book is not something I would typically pick up. I chose it for an art related reading challenge prompt. While not really my cup of tea, I can certainly appreciate what a beautiful book this is.

I think so much when I read Patti Smith. I love her musings. Sometimes I feel inspired, sometimes I feel confused, sometimes I roll my eyes or feel annoyed, sometimes I marvel. There's much to be said about her, but she has certainly left a strong mark in my literary journey.

Here you will see pictures of people close to Patti and items of special worth [because it belonged to a poet, an activist, a painter, etc]. Some of the items belonged to some very interesting people. Who I will read more about because I discovered them in Patti's book of photos.

i love Patti so much and loved flipping through this but it does feel like her instagram in print
