An incredible biography of resilience. This book never felt boring and I would’ve kept reading for chapters more.
This could be made into 4 movies. What an incredible story. The actual movie doesn't even get close.
This book was amazing, so compelling and accurate. Wow. Normally nonfiction books take me much longer to read than fiction but this read like a novel.
I loved this book!

This is one of the most haunting books I have ever read. Horrible, relentless, and inspiring doesn't even begin to describe it.
Unbroken was so riveting that I finished the entire thing in less than twenty-four hours. I couldn't put it down - at the expense of my homework, classwork, and actual work. I barely ate, slept, or looked up from the pages. Well-written; an amazing story. Louie is a character that everyone can rally behind and his salvation at the end of the book is what ties the entire narrative together. Great storytelling, Laura!

Whoa.
An incredible telling of Louis Zamperini’s life. Thoroughly researched but not too detailed for a civilian to understand; a perfect balance of facts, anecdotes, and reflection to keep the reader engaged; expertly paced.
A warning that the gruesome details in this story will not be tolerated by everyone. However, ‘Unbroken’ shines an important light on the atrocities committed against POW in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. It details the struggles so many heroes faced returning from war - PTSD, alcoholism, depression. It conveys the despondency, the camaraderie, and the glimmers of hope these men felt during a time most of us couldn’t begin to fathom.
This one will stick with you. Highly, highly recommend.
