I think the book presents a much more complete picture than the movie. Still awe-inspiring but more real. It also gave a lot of background information and history which I found important and illuminating that I didn't know about when watching the movie. An amazing life.

3.5. It took me a while to get into it and then his story through the war was gripping and then post war stuff wasn’t of interest to me. Writing was ok but not the best. Good chill read for the start of the year!
