Absolutely amazing! This was a great book that took you through a wave of emotions....Laura really made you feel like you were there with Louie from start to finish and at the end I felt like I knew him and his family. Truly a remarkable story about strength, resilience, and the fight to live!

What a great book! I devoured the whole thing in just one day (while sick). An incredible story. I can't believe what some of these men endured, then to see Louie's redemption and release of all that haunted him... I highly recommend this book.

I don't think I ever finished this book. I'm not a huge fan of non-fiction and I think this was a book group book. I'm sure it's a good book. Just not my thing. Dates read are approximate.
