Just such a fun read. I loved Renee as a character,
she made such a great final girl for this story,
and the romance between Maggie and Kathy that's explored through letters in the last third of the book genuinely almost brought me to tears. A win for the lesbians.

Such a weird book. Part satire of modern media, part slasher. I think the slasher part was more effective than the satire. Leaves many questions unanswered, and I wish we saw more of Patricia (the sasquatch).

This was the perfect thrill ride to pull me out of my reading slump. Once I started, it was difficult not to read the rest.

Weird book? good but also what
I liked the pacing of the second half of the book but the first half did go very slow for me
So confused would have kind of liked more of an explanation but whatever
For a book that says it’s a queer horror it isn’t very gay more a book that just had a gay couple in

A disastrous queer awakening crossed with a slasher where the killer is bigfoot. Lighthearted in parts and seriously chilling in others, this book does an excellent job of mocking elements of reality show dating and horror tropes while still catering to people who enjoy them.
My only criticism that keeps this from being a 5 is that Renee's character is revealed to us a lot slower than the others. She's framed as a main character but we know very little about her motivations and true feelings until close to the end. This doesn't appear to have been for the purpose of drama either. Just a little something that bothered me. Still an absolutely fantastic 4 star read and I would recommend it to any horror fan I know.

Ugh, god forbid miss King Kong has any FUN!! Anyways, it’s a silly little read. Wish there was more to it, less of The Bachelor knock off. But a silly little read nonetheless.
I wanna know everything about Patricia though and the group of lesbians protecting her. Give me their FULL story.

I was nervous about reading a book about Sasquatch but it ended up being a good read with lots of funny lines, on brand lesbian jokes, and an interesting reflection on reality tv — all around good!
