I read this book back in middle school and am now 21 but still remember how much I loved it when I was younger! I reread the story so many times because I wanted to be Annabell so badly. I was ready to switch my wardrobe to reds, pinks, whites, and light blues to match her. the scene where she talks about practicing her signature to be like her dad's so it's basically illegible and begins the fiasco, made me practice my signature to be the same. I want to repurchase a copy just so I can relive the joy this sweet cheesy story brought me.

It was a fun read. Mostly for middle-schoolers. Good writing style. Hilarious situation because of a miss understanding.

Okay, so we all get what this book is about, right? I mean, realistically, I loved this book. It was entertaining. But what I hated, was the fact of obvious-ness. Really? So the main character, Annabel, was freaking out through the entire book about how "she couldn't be together with Sam!! I need to stay as far away from him as possible!" By then, it was ridiculously obvious that she was worrying over nothing. In the end, Sam was TRYING to ask Annabel if she liked the PINK carnation he sent her.(Pink=friends, red=crushes, white=teachers) She'd gotten the red one by accient, and Sam really liked Phoebe, not her. I was right in the end...there was a mix-up with the delivery. Ugh, books just irritate me with their obvious-ness. I mean, maybe I'm just too smart for these books. *wink wink* All the Candy Apple/Poison Apple are meant for younger readers, I get that. But, all-in-all, I think I really liked this book. It just needs some more surprises. :)
