I discovered this book by accident.
I sympathise with Alice. While I despise how easily she changes her mind, I admire how compassionate and powerful she is. Despite all she's been through, she still manages to keep going. I like how the book presents the typical characters we can encounter while observing marriage-related issues.
The book looks at a relationship which is missing the spark right from the beginning. There's very little romantic love, and that leads to future issues. Intriguing insight.

I could most definitely go without reading this book however it was a nice read with which I had a lot of fun.
