I loveeeeed this book. I hardly ever give non-fiction 5 stars. Such a well told history lesson and I found myself googling pictures every chapter to see what the author was talking about myself. It was so well thought out and brought up so many perspectives about retail and the business behind big brands. I learned so much. I would have loved to have seen what the author has to say about shopping and J.Crew post pandemic, since I think J.Crew is now climbing it’s way back to the top. But I the last chapter really stuck with me especially considering consumer shopping habits and the ethical motivations behind shopping now. I also think Olympia is absolutely killing it and deserves her flowers at a very unique time for the brand. J.Crew just celebrated 40 years so it seems very fitting I just finished this book. And of course I followed Jenna Lyons on IG.
