Super fascinating, especially as someone who works in retail. I want all of my coworkers to read this now!
Favorite line was absolutely “he couldn’t tell the difference between a knit and a woven.”

I'm not much for fashion- particularly the Prep look, but I distinctly remember my older sister's J Crew sweater that I coveted in high school. This was the perfect choice for my "fashionable character" prompt for my 52 Book Challenge (even beyond my sister's sweater, in my world you don't get much more fashionable than Jenna Lyons!)
I enjoyed how the author expressed the feel and personality of the J. Crew office/ operation under different leadership, as well as their approach to each fashion era. There, were still points where I had to recommit to the book to continue, but I think that's just because it's not an area of interest for me.
