started off slow and ramped up as usual. the ending felt unsatisfying and incomplete even after trudging through 450 pages of tomfoolery. thing that rubbed me off the wrong way was how disinterested fin was about learning veros backstory despite v always being there for her. also i still can’t believe they live in a world without surveillance cams and they can just get away w any damning brush ins with the law because of a cop who cant take a hint and just keeps following and harassing fin. plus fin is terrible as an author and keeps treating her manager like shit??? like she constantly pats herself on the back for submitting 1/4 or 1/2 the page she was supposed to turn in weeks ago that too not proofread??? ok and im supposed to believe ur a big shot who wouldn’t realistically be dropped by ur mgmt in seconds??? but to my credit i will say im getting better at suspending my beliefs given that fins low maintenance bombshell mom who is basically nancy drew grown up persona only irked me a little in this.

This series is SO fun! I can’t believe I waited this long to read it. I love all of the characters so much. Finlay and Vero are especially fun. After being Team Julian in the first book, I am firmly Team Nick. I didn’t like how insecure her relationship with Julian made Finlay feel. Nick just makes more sense. I’m anxious to see how he reacts when he inevitably finds out about Finlay’s extracurricular activities. I have already started the next book and am loving it!
