We naively walk on the set of each social situation for the first time and seem to only build on our blooper reel for a show already about navigating social and cultural competency.

with cyclopedia exotica aminder dhaliwal extends her world-building ability (seen in woman world), giving her characters inner worlds and struggles to be overcome. the outcome is an unparalleled take on microaggressions, relationships and the importance of children's books. this was funny and full of heart, it feels like the warmest sitcom!  everything about this felt intentional and kind, i was sad when it ended because i wanted to spend more time with the characters! this book is a marvel and dhaliwal is one of my new favourite graphic novelists.
