Overall a good book, sometimes trying to hard in parts, but I'll forgive it. I felt myself being bored with some parts but would get sucked back in with the next chapter. Worth a quick read.

It was okay. There were some really creepy people and events in this book. I found it hard to care about most of them.

I slugged though this book because the pain of the main character dripped off the pages. I wanted to quit but felt like I would be abandoning Camille so I kept going, feeling her misery. So glad I did, the end was stunning. At only 250 pages it packs a punch. Economy of words.

Read this after watching the show so would’ve loved to have gone into this blind bc it’s crazy, but was still super good! Such a good read, keeps you on the line the whole time; will definitely read more by Flynn!

Great story from Gillian Flynn but I have to admit that the self-harm and the child abuse in the book made me quite uncomfortable. And, usually, I'm not all that difficult to rattle. Maybe that's a good learning exercise for me in terms of stretching my own awareness of the self-harm issue.
But do heed the content warnings in this case.

Graphic: Self harm, Child abuse, Child death, and Gore

I had for some reason failed to read any of Flynn’s other books after “gone girl” I wish I hadn’t waited so long. This was riveting. I couldn’t put it down.
