These stories feel like you’re inside an unbearably sad yet gorgeous short film. Writing style felt a little too aimless for me but I liked how themes and imagery were consistent and kept being explored here. 

Favorite stories were probably Girl, In The Night, and What I Have Been Doing Lately.

I listened to this while trying to fall asleep and it definitely disadvantaged this short story collection. I couldn't follow the stories at all and the only thing I really absorbed were some beautiful sentences here and there. I'm going to revisit it another time and leave it unrated because the cause of the leave it unrated because the cause is my scattered and distracted mind.

More lyrical vignettes of island life than short stories, but quite interesting and evocative. Would probably be best appreciated read aloud.
