I really enjoyed this one. This volume was mostly just Rocket and Groot running around the galaxy and having adventures. Also Fantasy Football but for real...

I will definitely be picking up volume 2 soon!

Rocket a Groot jsou pohřešovaní tak dlouho, že už si všichni myslí, že jsou mrtví. To by ale nebyli oni dva.. Jdou z dobrodružství do dobrodružství. Groot se probudí na neznámé planetě a začne hledat Rocketa. To ho zavede až na tajemnou planetu, kde vládne lord RakZoon, který je tak trochu šílený a nechá Groota zavřít do vězení. Potom si Groot a Rocket užívají zaslouženou dovolenou, když je někdo napadne a unese na svou planetu, kde se opět Groot i Rocket dostanou do potíží, ale ty Grootovi jsou na první pohled mnohem lepší než Rocketovi. Pak se spolu oba vydají do svého oblíbeného baru, kde spolu hrají kulečník a šipky. Začnou se vsázet, kdo z nich je lepší, což je nakonec zavede na vzdálenou planetu, která je pod útokem Kiffů.

This is quite possibly the most pointless comic I have read. There is little to no story being told here, as the one very slightly ongoing plotline only lasts for 2 and a half issues and holds absolutely no relevance to the rest of the comic. The art for the first half of the volume was really gorgeous, and that was the one saving grace. It's disappointing because Loveness' 'Groot' miniseries showed that Rocket and Groot's dynamic can be written in a meaningful way, but as I haven't read Skottie Young's Rocket solo I can only presume he is going solely for cheap jokes or has simply run out of stories to tell about these two, because that's what comes across.
