This was hands down the best book I’ve read this year!! My best friend growing up was in and out of psychiatric care, so pieces of this book felt very close to home. I could not put this down. I found every excuse to read this at even slivers of moments. I read this while pumping gas the other day. I had 100 theories about what was going on or where this book was headed and they were all wrong. This book was so suspenseful, kept you thinking, and was so captivating.

My only question is and what I am confused about is (spoiler ahead) how and when did they kill Dr. Beck and Ramona of Damon was in seclusion prior to Amy coming to the unit? I know Jade got the door code but when and how?

The way mental health is portrayed in this is probably damaging to the actual community, but the story did get me.

Frieda LOVES a last page plot twist, and the one here was very good.

I definitely had some theories throughout, but I didn't actually manage to solve what was going on until right before the main character did.

Again, I don't love the main characters this author tends to write and think they are sort of clueless and have no sense of self-preservation, but I didn't think Amy was nearly as bad as some I've read.

this book was a decent read. it felt repetitive at times “ peach iced tea” “ortho is competitive” … we get it, it’s some sort of breadcrumb

other than that the book felt decent. decent pace. okay plot. ploy ending.
