I felt like the first one was better. I did enjoy this and found Derek to be autistic coded which I don’t know if it was intentional. I do love the concept surrounding this book.

Cute and quirky, this sequel to Finna tells a tighter story. It seems to me that Cipri hit their stride with this second LitenVerse story. I hope more will be forthcoming!

This book was simply charming. It had laugh out loud lines, fantastic characters, real heart. It perfectly captures what it’s like to be a retail drone, only with added hope.
Again, I find myself comparing it to Horrorstör despite this not being horror. Grady Hendrix wishes he had what Nino/Defekt has. It’s legit everything I wanted out of Horrorstör - down to the monster in the maze! Incredible, chef kiss.
If you liked Finna, you’ll love Defekt.
