Honestly, one of the most truthful and hilarious pieces about dating in this modern and crazy world we live in. I highly recommend this to any and all women, men, and human beings.
In reading this book, I had the thought "wow, the author's brain and my brain DO NOT work the same way" about every other sentence.
I laughed out loud at many of Roberson’s quips. This book is in some ways a light-hearted wide brush feminism intro, and parts were very fun to read. Some of the essays were boring, or confusing, or out of place, which made the book hard to finish - it dragged in a few places. Overall, I enjoyed it and will read future offerings.

Fine. Sometimes it thought it was funnier than it actually was but still it was a fun and super quick read. Wish there was more actual science and references to balance out the personal commentary.
I was disappointed tbh. I think the title of this was misleading/it should have been called “Blythe Roberson’s Personal Thoughts About Dating”. There wasn’t a lot of substance… just some of her dating stories (that weren’t particularly relatable to me)c with some “patriarchy sucks” comments that lacked any specific examples or statistics or research.
I just did not find myself interested in wanting to read this at all - less of a advice, educational book, more memoire style writing about really specific dating details in the author’s life that sometimes feels like an inside joke I do not understand.

She is sometimes funny but so judgemental towards the non normative heterosexual and monogamy.
This isn't really relationship advice. It is a woman telling us she isn't boy crazy and then proceeding to tell 300 anecdotes of how she is crazy about boys. But patriarchy.
