Succinct. Organized. Actionable. Inspiring.

If I was to ever become a high school teacher, I would make this required reading and have students reconnect with their life’s purpose. The relatable and poignant examples he provides humanizes genius to a point where you think, I can do it too; which is something nobody should ever take lightly.

I don’t feel the need to analyze this book because it resonated some form of truth within me. It will be a book I come to live by. I would only recommend you give it a whirl to see if you feel the same.

This was a long read. It took few months to get from start to the end. I think I was expecting more than this was capable to give.

Book's idea is strong, which to summarize: first you try to learn things and find where your true passions lay. After that you move to apprentice role where you have a mentor who teaches you all the necessary things regarding this skill. After you've finished your apprentice, you move towards level of mastery where your creativity and skills are tied heavily together and create opportunity to really make major difference to the world with selected and passionate path.

I liked very much about stories which was from different fields and very historical without being boring. This book covered through different masters who really mastered their skills and has made change to our world where we're now living.

But in overall, I feel book was a bit too long. It doesn't change strong base which still makes this interesting read with a lot of good ideas to pickup to your own path.

This book is well researched. That is the only positive. It isn't engaging or interesting or useful at all I'm afraid. If you want to hear a really long-winded way of saying "follow your dreams" then this is it. If you need inspiring stories, maybe this is for you too. If you already know that working hard in things that interest you is the way forward, then don't bother. I'd like to point out that I didn't finish it, but I can't imagine it would suddenly change.

Very insightful and inspiring.

Offers some practical tips on practicing skills, approaching problems and optimising creativity. It also includes interesting profiles of some masters and the strategies they used in their various fields. However it was quite long-winded at times, especially the final chapter which seemed to repeat everything in the previous ones.

Nothing new, but very, very well put.

Mastery is the sensation of control over reality, our lives, on others, and on our environments.

To get there is a learning process grounded on multi-disciplinary exploration, authentic choice, and intense focus.

Loved the chapters on higher-level intuition, seductive rationality, and the dimensional mind.

Tactics were hit or miss, though.
