This story was really dumb, I felt as if nothing really happened. I hated the characters, there was no deep development I wasted my time omg
This book was... Bizarre to say the least. Where do I even start? This was the first thing I have read by Ness (besides the first few pages of More Than This, which I have misplaced at the moment) and I have to say it has left in anticipation for the next! The concept was absolutely genius! I loved to see how the story of the indie kids slowly leaked into our groups lives. The only thing I have to say is that the love story felt needless and very poorly handled. But the characters made it better, for all the main character was a BIT on the bland side. The others felt full of life, but also down to earth. Sometimes I found it hard to follow Ness' writing, but, it wasn't anything a re-read of the paragraph/sentence couldn't handle. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends, although, I would include the phrase "it's pretty weird, but trust me, it's worth it".
There were elements of this book that I absolutely loved (the concept being a big one) and others that I just found kind of... meh. This is a brilliantly executed novel - I particularly enjoyed the way that Ness wove together the stories of the indie kids and Mikey and his friends, but at some points it just kind of lost me... Still, this is a worthwhile read, and it definitely makes you stop and think about all of those terribly unique chosen ones.
This was so different from Ness' other books that I can't decide if I really liked it or not. The premise was pretty cool, although I am such a sucker for the twisty-turny dystopian novels it poked fun at.

Sejujurnya, aku sedikit bosan dan mengantuk, tapi itu nggak bikin aku berhenti.
Setiap bab-nya sendiri kaya punya dua cerita, tapi per bab masih nyambung.
