I haven't read another Agatha Christie book since And Then There Were None back in 2016.
This is also my first dive into Hercule Poirot

This is a good intro to Poirot, and a fun whodunnit story.
I liked the quirkiness of Poirot, and Hastings along with the reader trying to keep up with his antics.

There was a little bit of an info dump when explaining the poisons and how all the other chemicals worked together with the poison. I admit I can't quite understand everything explained.

Nonetheless, can't wait to read more Poirot!

The first of Christie's Poirot books is a good one, but they get even better after this.
funny mysterious relaxing medium-paced

I listened to the audio book for this one, more like a radio play with actors voicing all of the characters.  I am not an Agatha Christie fan, but was interested in this because Peter Dinklage plays Hercule Poirot and he made this short listen a pleasure.

This is my first Agatha Christie novel, I picked it up because I loved Knives Out, and this book was mostly just okay. I appreciate Christie’s novel to craft a murder plot, but she has an annoying habit of alternating between referring to characters by their first and last names, so it becomes very confusing to keep track of everyone. I also could have done without the hints of racism.
