Tarinassakin on sopivaa imua, eikä kirjaa tahtoisi laskea käsistään.

I think the translation was a bit unfortunate because it felt like trekking through thick mud trying to read this.

The characters were a bit meh, and i found myself not liking them.

It was more of a cop procedural than i expected. I needed darker vibes and a grim setting to truly feel like a Scandinavian-noir ish book.

I did guess the killer and a bit of the mysterious elements pretty early but it didnt seem to take away anything from reading it because it was one of the few things i thought was done pretty okay. The mystery was mysterious lol

Won't even talk about the actual plot/plot twists, I guess those are up to taste.

But there are racist and ableist things in this book, and those are just very iffy. Ugh.

A Scandinavian mystery crime thriller, sign me up lol. The atmosphere of this book is gripping. It’s also a police procedural that takes the readers into the detectives thoughts and processes of trying to solve the case. With new information coming up you’ll keep questioning the possible suspects. The storyline is thrilling and well paced. The characters are well written and interesting. This book is a page turner and kept my interest. The Tenant is suspenseful, has twists and turns, is engaging, and has a surprising ending. I really enjoyed reading this one.
